Bahria College Karachi is an autonomous institution governed by an independent body. The foundation of the College was laid on 30 August 1986 by Admiral I. A Sirohey NI(M), S.Bt., the then Chief of Naval Staff. Established as the premier provider of standardized learning, it is a symbol of the educational aspirations of the Pakistan Navy, commissioned with a special purpose of imparting quality education to the children of the Naval fraternity, in particular, and the public, in general.
Keeping in view the importance of an overall development and grooming of the students’ personality, it is persistently striving to maintain curricular and co curricular excellence through a dynamic management, high quality teaching and training and upholding and inculcating the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline. Therefore, the curriculum of the institution is so designed that along with various academic disciplines, programmes for character building, physical education, religious motivation and leisure time hobbies are planned and organized to maximize performance of its clientele and lay the foundations for a sound scholarship and philosophy of life.
Bahria College Karachi has a student centered environment. The teaching is stimulating and invigorating, whereas learning is demanding and exhilarating, sparking interest, inspiration and motivation, sharpening senses, strengthening academic learning and enlivening class room interactions through the induction of modern precepts, stratagems and communication technologies.
In keeping with the fast paced trends in education and the plethora of challenges thrown up by the 21st Century, the Cambridge Wing of the College was established offering only Ordinary levels of the University of Cambridge in 1995. Later, Advanced level Courses of the University of Cambridge were offered, and in full swing now.
